Roger

Looks like a nice guy for some women, but then again it is what is inside that matters. Roger like the man above has a powerful presence but is full of demons.

At the moment I am working on a trilogy and part one, ‘In Wordsworth’s shadow,’ will be out later.

Part one describes how this man born into relative financial prosperity, was in fact born into an emotional sewer. His conception led to his father’s suicide and his mother was proud of that.

As a man who saw women as manipulative and beastly beings like his mother, whom he idolised, he became a chameleon when in a relationship. For this man who saw almost nothing in being right or wrong, with his high intellect despite his lack of emotional intelligence, he was able to succeed in the workplace. In fact as a great manipulator he became a highly sought after lawyer, and the more money he made the more evil he became.

In the second part of the trilogy, due to his desperation in becoming a father in his well advanced middle age, and not wishing to ruin the lives of more people, he takes advantage of two young ladies, but in the eyes of the many, looks any other other romantic guy who has a love and admiration for Wordsworth.

In the final part, I have not yet begun, but my intention is to add a great twist to this highly evil man. In times of war the victors are the ones who write history, and Roger wants to go down as a saviour.

Is Roger based on myself, from my own perspective no. We have a love of healthy living, but for the rest we have nothing in common. I guess very few people, men or women will deny that they have anything to do with him, but many of us have lived with someone who was as dirty as a beast, in heart, mind and soul. Even less will admit that under pressure, life can bring out the Roger in all too many of us, and that is the scariest part of this tale.
